The Poets Eye
The Off Broadway production, Poet's Eye, was a collection of 3 One Acts written by Alexis Kozak and directed by Barbara Panas. The graphic concept designed by Ande La Monica is a combination of his witty, unusual approach to typography and image making. Ande and his team thought it was "A nice break from traditional One Act identities." The poster playfully reflects the story coming from the words of the author.

This poster also ushered the new "block logo" for Polaris North, which uses a stylized version of Bureau Grotesque as the principal font. The logo is a great example of how design can solve a non-design problem. The location of the theater is notoriously hard to find and had been an issue for a long time. The address was incorporated into the identity and increased attendance immediately.
