Wanting to increase brand awareness for The Hills, The Real World, and a few of their virtual properties, Mtv hired us to do develop marketing material and in store sales pieces. For this project, we created gift cards that embrace the style and language of the VMtv world as well as textures and type treatments to compliment the brand.

“I Could Write a Book…"

"…about the way you walk and whisper and look.” Harry Connick Jr. crooned about two (soon to be married) New Yorkers in When Harry Met Sally. Earlier this summer we were hired by Clarissa Delafuente and Pat Edwards for a photo shoot. This documentation of nuptial bliss took Creative Director Ande La Monica to two of New York’s iconic locations: Grand Central Terminal and The Public Library.

Opening Day

Usually around this time of year; the studio, clients, and friends get an invitation to gather for the annual opening day (of the grill). There is tons of very good food, great company, and it is usually a grand ol' time.

As a Public Service Announcement, Ande was advised to put this event in context for those who are new or unfamiliar with how the studio throws a party. So, the following editorial was produced:

Art from the Battlegrounds


School of Visual Arts (SVA) opened it's latest exhibition in March titled Testimony to War: Art from the Battlegrounds of Iraq. This is an exhibition that brings together the creative work of five emerging and established artists, each of whom has a direct experience of the war in Iraq. Ande La Monica directed and produced this exhibition film as well as developing the opening titles and the motion graphics.

Steve Heller: Master at Work

School of Visual Arts (SVA), New York City, honored Steven Heller with the Masters Series Award and retrospective exhibition. Ande La Monica was asked to document the event. Going above and beyond the project brief, Ande and team shot and produced an outstanding short film.

Titled Graphic Design's Biggest Fan, this film is a chronicle of the exhibition and showcases a lifetime of work. As well, it gives us a bit of insight into the mind of Steven Heller with interviews from Micheal Bierut, Steven Guarnaccia, Lita Talarico, Alice Twemlow, & Kevin O'Callaghan... and it also includes a brillant graphic sequence of the design superstars in attendance at opening night.
